Ukiyo-e Samurai Woodblock Prints
Historical tales of Japan and famous Samurai battles
A collection of Ukiyo-e masterpieces by well known artists including Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, Ogata Geppei, Toyohara Chikanobu and Utagawa Kunimasa. This collection was published in Yamato Zakura in 1935 although the original woodblock prints and lithographs date from the mid to late Meiji Period. These artists were contemporaries of the photographers of our Japanese albumen prints.
This collection is dedicated to famous battles in Japanese history and are also available to order from our Redbubble store.
